World Curry Festival Arrives at Bradford City FC
Bradford City Football Club is celebrating the World Curry Festival by hosting a unique hospitality event during the game vs Bristol Rovers on Saturday 17 September 2016. This exciting one-off event includes a VIP two-course curry meal in the club’ Legends Suite with special guest speakers, and a ticket to the game.
The meal is being prepared under the supervision of the legendary Chef Oberoi who has cooked for princes, presidents and prime ministers around the world – his most famous guest of late is President Obama.
“I love football and to have this opportunity to cook for the Bradford City fans is going to be awesome,” commented Chef Oberoi.
As part of the celebrations samosa chaat – the Asian equivalent of ‘pie and peas’ and a popular Indian street food dish, will be served at the ground during the day.
“The World Curry Festival is delighted to be working with Bradford City Football Club,” says Zulfi Karim, Founder of the World Curry Festival, “it’s a wonderful opportunity to bring the festival and football together, and where better to do this than Bradford.”
Bradford City’s Chief Operating Officer, James Mason says: “A couple of things the City is famous for are curries and football, and what better way to combine the two by celebrating the World Curry Festival. It’s not something we plan to do every week, but for a one-off occasion like this, it gives fans the opportunity to trial the food on offer and let’s see how it works. We look forward to seeing the colour and theatre that such a festival can bring.”
Tickets for this special curry event cost:
£35 – Season ticket holders
£45 – Non-season ticket holders
£20 – Children (Under 11s)
